I shall spend Thursday and Friday of this week in Reading, talking family history with my dad’s aunts and helping my grandmother go through her vast collections of acquired antiques and old stuff. It would be wonderful if ancestry.com would give me exact matches. Or if my ancestors didn’t have such common names like “Margaret Johnson” and be from Ireland where those are common names. Or wasn’t potentially been one of the following: illegitimate, adopted, widowed, produced a child out of wedlock, or also named their kid Margaret. *headdesk*
